Kevin has over 25 years of business and technology experience with a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees. He has held executive leadership positions in large global companies and has led small start-up technology businesses, all from Cobb County. He also is a visiting Professor of Economics and Business.

Kevin is a current member of Leadership Cobb, class of 2020. He is a Board Member for the Development Authority of Cobb County, where he reviews and votes on large economic development deals for the county. In 2019 these deals created over 2100 jobs, all in Cobb County. Kevin is a past appointee from Commissioner Ott to The Neighborhood Safety Commission which works with and supports our public safety leaders. He is a past Board Member of the Powers Ferry Corridor Alliance and a past Chairman of House District 43 for the Cobb County Republican Party.

He is the co-founder of one of the largest technology non-profit organizations in the country, The Atlanta Technology Professionals, and for 20 years has given tens of thousands of dollars to organizations such as Power My Learning for disadvantaged youth. Kevin is an Eagle Scout and serves with the Boy Scouts of America, Atlanta Council out of Cobb County in numerous leadership roles. He is the recipient of the national Citizenship Medal from the Daughters of the American Revolution and also a Stephen Minister with Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in east Cobb. He has earned his third-degree black belt in Taekwondo and achieved instructor status.

The Nicholas family has lived in Cobb County District 2 for over 20 years, with Denise flying for Delta 30 years and three grown children who have attended Cobb County public schools and The University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University.
